I was recommended by one of my subscribers to react to Upchurch’s No Effort remix.

I only knew Upchurch from his small interaction with Scru Face. I can see with his 1.5 million subscribers he is clearly doing something right.

Unfortunately, I am not his ideal audience. This song didn’t resonate with me. I thought he had some strong elements to his writing, particularly his use of imagery. The images he was able to conjure when he focused on verbal pictures were vivid but his flow and rhyme schemes were not able to keep me engaged with the song.

The video itself was very high quality. Like I said before I can see why he’s successful but he did not resonate with me.
