My big thing is dissecting lyrics and I definitely dropped the ball on this one. There was just so much going on I couldn’t keep my eyes on everything. I think that’s what he’s trying to go for. If you want to skip ahead to my final thoughts you can at 6:49
I really loved this song. Compelling lyrics, beautiful flow, crosses genres, and a good singing voice too. You can tell Joyner sees himself as an artist with a message to spread. You can see he is always trying to push boundaries and he isn’t afraid to be authentic.
That’s my main takeaway. That authenticity made this song beautiful.
